i have studying upper and lower limb anatomy, and mainly just the clinical applications as according to the Monash Uni 5-year MBBS course's syllabus - which is, according to a certain Mr. Gerrard Ahern, what we future doctors will be needed and expected to know when we work as interns. After all, the course is to "prepare us to be able to work safely as interns." (Australia Medical Council Guidelines)
And according to Gerry, an orthopod (or an orthopaedic surgeon), he mentioned to us quite a few times that because it is what we will face in the future as interns, therefore it should be and MUST be in the exams! (i think i like this logic a lot)
After all, what is the point of studying all that crap when you have no practical clinical use for it, and by the time u reach internship, or even earlier during clinical years, you have forgotten most of it, because u were trying so hard too early to be a mini-specialist in that subject.
